PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus, capable of measuring moisture contained in ammonia at low concentration, even if it is naturally ammonia gas and liquefied ammonia. SOLUTION: Ammonia gas is introduced into a long optical path gas cell at a constant flow rate, using at least one measuring wave number in a range of 4,000-3,500 cm-1, 3,100-2,600 cm-1 or 2,400-1,900 cm-1 and subjected to multiple reflection to measure the intensity of infrared absorption of moisture.
