PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that a conventional mobile radio terminal provided with two synthesizers in its radio section requires a large-sized and expensive configuration for the terminal itself for the obtained effect because the increased number of the synthesizers and a transmission reception section are used only for improving the communication quality. SOLUTION: In the case that a function key permits waiting during a speech and a user 40 is busy with a base station 1/public network 43 (step 45), when the user recognizes the arrival of an incoming call from other party and depresses a 'speech' key, a notice of replying the incoming call is given to a base station 2/public network 44, which gives a reply acknowledge notice to a wireless system control section 41 by using a synthesizer different from the one so far used during the speech (step 59). Thus, the speech channel between the opposite terminal and an operation system control section 40 is kept open and brought into a holding state (step 61) and the channel is switched into a communication channel with the other terminal via the base station 2/public network 44 (step 62).
