PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hand-over method for a mobile communication system, which has mobile stations roamed in a wireless area formed by base stations and connected to the base stations by a time division multiple access system, that searches for all communication available base stations and selects a base station whose communication state is best and connects the mobile station to the selected base station at all times. SOLUTION: The mobile communication system is provided with a control section 17 that selects a slot during communication to a slot not sending control information by each base station in the case of selecting a base station being a connection destination on the way of communication attended with the movement of a PHS terminal (mobile station) 4 and uses a slot other than the switched busy slot to search for a control signal from each abase station and allows the terminal 4 to receive the control signal.
