<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biaxial hinge device which is simple in structure and can be miniaturized. SOLUTION: A body mounting member 10 (first member) is provided with a body support shaft 20 (first support shaft) and a lid mounting member 30 (second member) is provided with a lid support shaft 40 (second support shaft), with the body support shaft 20 and the lid support shaft 40 both freely rotationally passed into a support frame 50. An engagement mechanism 100 includes a recess 110 formed in the outer periphery of the body support shaft 20 to accommodate the end of the lid support shaft 40 in such a manner that the lid support shaft 40 can freely rotate; a projection 120 formed at the end of the lid support shaft 40; and an outer peripheral channel 130 formed in the outer periphery of the body support shaft 20 in combination with the recess 100 to accommodate the projection 120, for restraining the lid support shaft 40 from rotation about an axis Y (second axis) while allowing the shaft to freely rotate about an axis X (first axis).</p> |
