The image desensitisation technique has a detector (DET) in a spectral band illuminated by a lens (OBJ). The image has a zone (Z1) where high thermal energy impinges. An optical weighting component (APD) in an opening (DO) has an amplitude filter (FLT) which reduces the flux levels following a set law, so that the luminous level in the high thermal level area is reduced to a set low level.
