PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow the normal reproduction on a reproduction side, even if multichannels are selectively transmitted with or without compression and the down mixing on the reproduction side is selectively permitted or inhibited. SOLUTION: An ATSI includes a first identifier to indicate whether the multichannel data in an audio packet is compressed and a second identifier to indicate, whether the down mixing of the multichannel data to stereoscopic two channels is permitted or inhibited.
