PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively increase an anchoring power of an earth retaining wall anchor for soft sandy earth ground. SOLUTION: Prior to the excavation of the soft sandy earth ground 1, the ground in the predetermined range at the outer side of the excavation range 2 is compacted by the formation of a compaction sand pile 3, in this compaction region 4, anchors 6 of the earth retaining wall 5 installed as the excavation work progress are anchored.
