PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning and disinfecting solution which is capable of simultaneously cleaning and disinfecting contact lenses, is safe and easy to handle and is stable in its efficacy for a long period of time. SOLUTION: The cleaning and disinfecting solution is prepared by incorporating polylysine and/or protamine and enzyme acting on the dirt on the surfaces of the contact lenses.
