PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the efficiency of power consumption by the powerfactor improving action of an active filter when an objective apparatus operates, and to reduce power loss in the active filter when it stands by. SOLUTION: A power device which has a power-factor improving active filter 102, and a direct-current to direct-current converter 103 which generates voltages for the driving portion and the controlling portion of an objective apparatus (image forming apparatus) from the output of the active filter. Besides, the power device has a controlling portion 300 which directs a high-voltage value when the objective apparatus is operated, and directs a low-voltage value when it is not operated, and a control voltage generating portion 110 which operates the active filter 102 in response to the direction issued from the controlling portion 300 so that the output of the active filter 102 may be a directed voltage value. |
