PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slide resistor which is stable in electrical continuity, kept excellent in slide resistance for a long time, excellent in heat resistance, and hardly causes slide noises. SOLUTION: A slide resistor is composed of a resistor 2 provided on the surface of a base and a contact 3 sliding on the resistor 2. A lubricating layer of fluorine oil is provided on all the surface of the resistor base where the resistor 2 is provided or at least a part of the surface on which the contact 3 slides. Fluorine oil has an average molecular weight of 1000 to 5000 and a straight-chain molecular structure whose terminal group is a carboxyl or an isocyanate group and is kept free from a low molecular component whose boiling point is 120 deg.C or below. |
