PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat developable photosensitive material for the production of a printing plate having improved very rapid processability, processing stability, raw stock preservability and exposure latitude. SOLUTION: Relating to the heat developable photosensitive material containing organic silver salt grains, photosensitive silver halide grains, a reducing agent and a contrast enhancer on the base, at least one compound (Cmd) having 90-260 deg.C melting point is contained and the mass ratio (Cmd/Ag) of the compound (Cmd) to total silver (Ag) is 0.002-0.50.
