PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-diagnostic system, in which the detection range of a failure can be expanded at low cost. SOLUTION: In the self-diagnostic system, detection of an abnormal current is controlled in order to detect the abnormality (failure) of respective loads (a polygon motor 107, a solenoid 108 and a clutch 109). When the detection of the abnormal current is controlled, a processing operation in which output ports D OUT 1 to D OUT 3 are controlled, so as to turn off all the loads and in which a current value detected in a state that all the loads are turned off is retained as an initial current value is performed. A first determining processing operation, in which whether the initial current value is larger than a prescribed value is determined is performed. A second determining processing operation, in which the respective loads are controlled so as to be turned on one by one and in which whether a current value detected in a state that one load is turned on is increased to be more than the initial current value is determined is conducted. An abnormality detection processing operation, in which the abnormality is detected according to the determination result of the first and second determining processing operations is conducted.
