PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize miniaturization of a slider for an optical head which is used in the optical head and performs writing and reading of signals to a recording medium utilizing an optical near-field and also to reduce manufacturing costs by easily manufacturing such a slider for the optical head. SOLUTION: A catadioptric lens 3 is embedded within a through hole 4 provided in a slider member 2, and an air lubricating surface 10 is respectively composed by surfaces facing these recording media. Such a slider 1 for the optical head is easily manufactured by applying working to the slider member 2 and lens base material after embedding lens base material of the catadioptric lens 3 within the through hole 4 of the slider member 2 and integrating these. |
