PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of speed-sensorless restarting of an induction motor which allows a smooth restarting of an induction motor in a short time without a speed sensor. SOLUTION: The rotational frequency of an induction motor is detected from a value of a current caused by turning on the voltage first applied to the induction motor. Using this information, the induction motor in a halted state or in rotation is restarted. |
