PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the consumption of water temporarily increased at the time of start up of an automatic analyzer. SOLUTION: This automatic analyzer is provided with a plurality of analytic modules each having a reaction cell, a dispensation probe and a reaction tank, a water supplying means for supplying water such as the washing water for the reaction cell, the washing water for the dispensation probe, the reaction tank water or the like to each analytic module, a thermostat means for keeping the reaction tank water at a prescribed temperature, a water supply control means for instructing the washing of the dispensation probe and the water supply to the reaction tank by the water supplying means, and an analytic means for reacting a liquid sample with a reagent in the reaction cell and analyzing the measurement item of the liquid sample. The water supply control means has a function of executing the water supply to the reaction tank prior to the washing water of the reaction cell and the washing water of the dispensation probe, and the consumed flow rate in starting is suppressed within the flow rate consumed during operation. |
