PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modular jack which can be surface mounted on a board. SOLUTION: A required number of terminals 26, 26' furnished in correspondence with terminals at side of a modular plug connector, and a fitting recess 28 formed fittably in a housing 25 for the modular plug connector are provided. The modular jack connector 21 can be mounted on a board 23 on which the above modular plug connector is electrically connected with the above terminal upon fitting the connection to the recess, which is electrically connected to the above board at least through a surface-mounting connector 24, which in turn, is formed so as to be surface mounted on the above board, where, the above surface-mounting connector is soldered and electrically connected with a prescribed circuit of the above board and then the above terminal is connected with the above surface-mounting connector. |
