ESD ELEMENT AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ESD element and manufacturing method of the same which can improve the problems associated with dispersion of device characteristics, efficiency of mounting to PCB, and heat-resistance, caused by forming of a transient voltage protecting layer 6 into round shape like a dome in the manufacturing method of ESD element including the process of forming a transient voltage protecting layer 6 on an upper electrode 3 on a base material 2. SOLUTION: By making a transient voltage protecting liquid material adhere and harden, the transient voltage protecting layer 6 with flat upper surface is formed by making the transient voltage protecting liquid material adhere and harden inside the frame-shaped bank part 8 formed on the upper electrode 3 on the base material 2 horizontal with uniformed height.
