PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for discharge emission capable of enhancing luminous efficiency. SOLUTION: The device for discharge emission is equipped with a substrate 2 and a transparent substrate 3. Between the substrate 2 and the transparent substrate 3, a discharge chamber 11 is formed, in which a gas for discharge is filled. The substrate 2 has an internal electrode 4, while the transparent substrate 3 has an external electrode 13. Both the internal electrode 4 and the external electrode 13 are positioned in order to avoid overlapping together.
