PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pickup feeder which moves a pickup to a diametral direction of a disk. SOLUTION: This pickup feeder comprises a pickup supporting member 2 on which the pickup 3 is mounted and supported in a manner to allow the displacement in the diametral direction of the disk, a first rack member 6 which is mounted and fixed to the pickup supporting member 2 and is formed with a spur gear 7 meshed with a drive gear 4 along the diametral direction of the disk and a second rack member 11 which is mounted and arranged in superposition on the first rack member 6 in a manner to allow the sliding displacement in the diametral direction of the disk and is formed with a spur gear 14 varying in the shape to be meshed with the drive gear 4 simultaneously with the spur gear 7 formed at the first rack member 6 along the diametral direction of the disk.
