PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the complicated recovery processing and also to shorten the time required for the recovery processing if the second printing is requested owing to a factor such as the paper jam when the print data on plural page description languages are printed. SOLUTION: An interpreter task 401 of a language task 303 interprets the page description language on the print data received from a host device and decides whether the band data on another page description language are stored in band memory area of a memory which stores the band data obtained by dividing an image equivalent to a single page. When the band data on another page description language are stored in the band memory area, the processing of a resterizing task 402 is not permitted so as to store no band data in the band memory area.
