PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for measuring Rovibond color with which Rovibond color can easily be evaluated objectively. SOLUTION: A method for finding the number of a standard color filter equivalent to the color of a sample, includes a measuring step (S14) of collecting the transmissivity spectral data of the sample and a calculating step (S16) of finding the number of the standard color filter equivalent to the color of the sample, by minimizing the difference between the chromaticity coordinates of the sample and the chromaticity coordinates corresponding to each color obtained, by converting the calculus indicating the relation between the absorbance spectrum of Rovibond color at an arbitrary number and the absorption spectrum of each standard color filter at a reference number.
