PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent shift operation from becoming heavy again halfway and prevent the generation of stop sound at the end of shift operation in a transmis sion operating assistor provided with a piston fixed to the outer periphery of an output shaft, a working pressure supply path for leading working pressure into the pressure receiving face of the piston, a working pressure discharge path for opening the pressure receiving face of the piston to the atmosphere, and a valve means for opening/closing the working pressure supply path and the discharge path interlockingly with an input shaft. SOLUTION: The working pressure discharge paths 30, 37, and the like are provided with orifices 47, 54 downstream of the valve means 10, and working pressure retaining capacities 45, 58 are provided between the orifices 47, 54 and the valve means.
