PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination device that provides uniform illumination without making the light source noticeably apparent. SOLUTION: The illumination device comprises a light source 1, first reflector 2 that has an elliptical surface with the first focus 5 located adjacent to the light source 1 and the second focus 6 ahead of it, and light emitting slit 7 positioned on the optical axis 4 of the light source 1, and a second reflector 3 arranged between the light source 1 and the first reflector 2 that has an elliptical surface with the first focus 8 located adjacent to the second focus 6 of the first reflector 2 and a second focus 9 adjacent to the light emitting slit 7. |
