PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for editing the electronic musical score music data expressing performance information of many musical instrument parts with the playing data of the electronic musical score music of multiple channels to a music data cutback edited to a prescribed number of the channels, while maintaining a fixed performance quality. SOLUTION: Relating to the electronic musical score music data expressing the performance information of the many musical instrument parts constituting musical pieces with the performance data of the electronic music type of the multiple channels, the total time of the sound production of the performance data of the respective channels is determined (120), the performance data of the prescribed number of the channels is selected in ascending order of the total time of the sound production (130) (this data is determined as the performance data of the selected channels), the selected channels to which the non-selected channels are similar are determined according to the similarity of the timbres data allocated to the respective channels (140) and the performance data of the separate channels having the similar timbres are included into the playing data of the selected channels (150). |
