PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the detachment and access limit of a recording and reproducing device in which contents are recorded while protecting copyright and to minimize damage of a user in the case that the recording and reproducing device fails. SOLUTION: This information processor incorporated with a detachable hard disk device is provided with a command issuance means for reporting host ID information intrinsic to the processor to the hard disk device, a lock means for inhibiting the detachment of the hard disk device, the command issuance means for inquiring of the disk device the permission of the detachment and a detachment control means for permitting the detachment based on the response of a command and instructing unlocking to the lock means.
