PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with an adjusting member and facilitate installation and removal of a concrete base such as a slant base for moving a shield machine to a working face of a tunnel to be excavated. SOLUTION: This concrete base 1 is provided with a plurality of forms 2 formed into upward open box shape and adjacently arranged in the longitudinal and lateral directions. Concrete is placed in the forms 2 to form the upper face into a continuous face. Installation work is easy since the required number of forms need only to be individually carried into a construction site, and removal is easy since the concrete base 1 can be divided in individual forms using a chisel or the like. To be concrete, the form 2 has an upper face inclined at a specified angle, and the concrete base 1 is a slant face 1 in which the upper face of the concrete placed in the forms 2 is formed into a continuous inclined face 20. There is therefore no need to make fine adjustment of the inclined face angle of the slant base using an adjusting member or the like.
