PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wavelength control method for a semiconductor laser by which an optical frequency of the semiconductor layer can be controlled at a horizontal synchronizing signal with high accuracy based on a control current obtained by measurement of a steady-state and a thermal response function. SOLUTION: In the case of controlling a wavelength of a semiconductor laser 7 through current or voltage control in an optical frequency sweep light source, an injection synchronous filter, and a wavelength switching light source, a transfer function of the thermal response at wavelength switching is used, a control current or voltage is directly controlled at a time interval shorter than the thermal time constant to correct a transient response component. The correction of the thermal transient response component can be attained by using an optical branching device 10, a time decomposition optical spectrum measurement device 11, a processing unit 12 and a control current database 13. |
