PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display drive device capable of controlling the changing over of the shifting direction of a shift register, without inputting a control signal for only an inverse control from the outside of a drive circuit, even in case of invertingly displaying an image which is displayed on a liquid crystal display panel. SOLUTION: This liquid crystal display device has a liquid crystal display panel 10, a source driver 20 and a gate driver 30 and a shift direction control circuit 33, to which plural control signals which are used for control of display drive operations and which do not have independently an inverse control function are inputted from the outside of the driver 30 and which sets a shifting direction in a shift register 31 for outputting a gate signal at a prescribed timing based two control signals in the plural control signals is provided in the driver 30. The shifting direction of the shift register 31 is controlled switchably in the forward shifting operation and the reverse shifting operation by arbitrarily changing timings of the two control signals. |
