The hands free car starting system has an antenna (3) in the steering wheel (5) and connected to a search unit (2). The antenna has a limited radio coverage covering where the driver sits. When an identifying mechanism is detected, which is held on the users person, the identifier is recognised then the engine motor starting is activated.
