PURPOSE: A chuck for receiving a shaft of a rod is provided to conveniently remove or install a hollow core material by inserting the hollow core into a chuck. CONSTITUTION: A rod shaft receiving chuck comprises a flange(4) mounted on a side face of a boss(2); a shaft shaped unit(8) formed on the boss by having a space; plural slant passages(10) mounted on an inner circumference of the space; a stopper(12) installed on an outer circumference of the shaft shaped unit; a return spring(14) inserted to an outer circumference of the shaft shaped unit; a slider(16) combined to the boss; a flange(18) closing the space of the boss by being mounted on the slider; a hollow shaped guide unit(20) arranged in the milled of the flange; plural slots(22) mounted on an outer circumference of the hollow shaped guide unit with a specific interval; jaws(22) inserted o the slot of the hollow shaped guide unit; a cam(26) contacting to the slant passage by being installed on the jaw; and a sleeve(28) integrally connected to the flange of the slider.
