摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing structure for a rotary valve in a variable intake device of an in-line four-cylinder internal combustion engine, having a simple structure and excellent in assemblage and sealing performance. SOLUTION: The sealing structure for the rotary valve in the variable intake device of the in-line four-cylinder internal combustion engine can be switched in three stage according to the rotational speed so that all mutually adjacent intake passages are communicated with or shut off from each other and so that a pair of intake passages having one end to be communicated with and connected to respective cylinders in cylinder groups having intake strokes not to be continued may be communicated with each other. Seal plates 241 to 243 are axially and longitudinally mounted on three parts and spaced in the circumferential direction. Seal rings 232 to 234 are mounted on parts for shutting off the communication between the intake passages and circumferentially mounted at a distance in the axial longitudinal direction, and the seal rings 232 to 234 are held and integrated at two parts intersecting the seal plates 241 to 243.</p>
