<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain effects of edge enhancement processing or the like using a simple constitution, even in a pixel value saturation area. SOLUTION: A data band extending circuit 16R, which extends the data band of an input signal R is connected to the preceding stage of an image processing circuit 20R which performs edge emphasis processing or the like, and a data band reduction circuit 18R, which reduces the data band is provided in the succeeding stage of the circuit 2R. The circuit 16R shifts the input signal R to the higher side by bits and adds an offset valueβ, and the circuit 18R performs conversion opposite to this linear conversion.</p> |
