PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve cooling when a wound foil electrode capacitor is cooled by liquid. SOLUTION: In the wound foil electrode capacitor which is constituted by forming metallicons 6 on the portions of metal foil 2 and 3 protruded from both ends of a capacitor element 1 formed by winding the foil 2 and 3 and dielectric substances 4 and 5 in an overlapping way and soldering electrodes 7 and 8 to the metallicons 6, a cooling pipe 10 through which a cooling liquid is made to flow is soldered to the metallicons 6. Since the dielectric substances 4 and 5 have large heat resistances and the heat caused by the dielectric losses of the substances 4 and 5 is transferred to the foil 2 and 3 and radiated from the foil 2 and 3 together with the resistance heat, the heat resistance of the capacitor is reduced as a whole and a high cooling efficiency is obtained when the cooling pipe 10 is directly joined to the metalicons 6 integrated with the foil 2 and 3.
