PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prolong the total life of a lamp and to expand a use by providing two sets of light source lamps and projection lenses so as to be respectively switchable. SOLUTION: A light beam from a light source 2 or 2' is reflected by a mirror 3, and is condensed by integrator lenses 4 and 5, and is inputted to a color separating part 8 through a lens 7 by arraying a polarization surface by a PBS 6, and is split into red light, green light and blue light, and a liquid crystal panel 9 is irradiated with the red light, the green light and the blue light, and a video light beam modulated and emitted is synthesized by a color synthetic part 10, and is reflected to a mirror 12 or 13 by a mirror 11, and is projected to a screen by a projection lens 14 or 14'. The mirror 3 and the mirror 11 are rotated by 90 deg. at the positions of mirrors 3' and 11' by centering an optical axis by manual operation. It is easily coped with the fact that a life ends when the lamps of the light sources 2 and 2' are made same, it is properly used in accordance with a purpose when the lamps whose color temperature is different and whose brightness is different are used, and it is coped with the perspective of the screen when the projection lenses 14 and 14' are made for a long distance projection type and a short distance projection type.
