PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shaft support structure of a throttle body having a sufficient bearing force for receiving a thrust force of the throttle shaft, receiving little abrasion by the thrust force, and easily assembled. SOLUTION: This throttle body is provided with a body 11 having a bore 11a, the throttle shaft 14, a throttle valve 12 fixed to the shaft 14 and rotationally moving in the bore, a throttle lever 15 fixed to one end of the shaft 14, a return spring 17, a thrust bearing face 11e formed in a boss 11b, and a thrust application face 15b formed in the lever. The thrust application face 15b is constituted to be press-fitted to the thrust bearing face 11e within a range where the lever 15 is rotationally moved from the fully closed position to the fully opened position of the valve 12. A large face can thus receive the thrust force so as to reduce the abrasion and to lighten the rotational movement of the throttle shaft.
