PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data communication system that can realize data transfer by using a 1st network and a 2nd network physically independent of each other as one logical network. SOLUTION: A transmitter side relay means 110 is provided with an extract means 111 that extracts a transfer unit to be sent from a 1st network to a 2nd network, a modification means 112 that applies a prescribed operation to control information included in the extracted transfer unit, a shaping means 113 that shapes the relay transfer unit into a packet whose address is a receiver side relay means 120, and a 1st transmission means 114 that transmits each packet to a relay network. The receiver side relay means 120 is provided with a separate means 121 that separates the relay transfer unit from the received packet, a forming means 122 that again form the transfer unit matching the 2nd network from the transfer unit and a 2nd transmission means 123 that transmit the obtained transfer unit to the 2nd network.
