PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of assembling man-hours of an engine by reducing the number of parts of a water pump and an oil pump to be driven by the engine. SOLUTION: A shaft accommodating housing 52 is provided on a crankcase 2, a driving shaft 55 is rotatably mounted on the shaft accommodating housing 52, and a gear 53 to be meshed with a gear provided on a crankshaft is attached to the driving shaft 55. A water pump 58 and an oil pump 64 which are respectively driven by the driving shaft 55 are provided on the shaft accommodating housing 52, and respective pumps are driven by the same driving system having the common driving shaft 55. The shaft accommodating housing 52 is a part of a pump housing for the water pump 58.
