PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video data processing system in which the video of a desirable scene can be immediately extracted from a large amount of video data and be browsed. SOLUTION: Video data temporally sectioned by desirable scenes of a subject (e.g. by pitches of a baseball game) are stored as a database 7 together with various retrieval data corresponding to them while related with one another. Desirable video data are browsed by being extracted from a database 7 like this and recorded on a CR-ROM 8, and distributing it or browsed through a network. Specially, a database of score information is previously generated, an analytic document which is automatically generated according to the database is displayed, and property information which is graphically edited and displayed by pitches in the document is added and linked with the video data. Consequently, desirable video can easily be browsed only by specifying a desirable pitch while referring to the graphically displayed and added property information.
