PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission power amplifier, capable of speedily changing an input frequency by fixing an output power level, in spite of the input frequency inside a band. SOLUTION: A variable attenuator 1 attenuates an input signal under the control of a gain control voltage signal 11. A variable phase shifter, 2 shifts the phase of an output from the variable attenuator 1, which is under the control of a phase control voltage signal 12. A power amplifier 3 amplifies the output of the variable phase shifter 2. A gain phase control part 4 is provided with a control table storage part 5, in which a conversion table relating input frequency information 13, the gain control voltage signal 11 and the phase control voltage signal 12 corresponding to the input frequency information 13 is written in advance, and reads out the gain control voltage signal 11 and the phase control voltage signal 12, on the basis of the input frequency information 13 inputted from the outside.
