SMEAR TYPE METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MEASURING RADIATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enableαrays to be measured when a wrapped smear filter paper is measured. SOLUTION: A scintillator layer 12 of ZnS (Ag) or the like is set on a surface of a wrapping film 10 for covering a sample face 20a of the smear filter paper 20. The smear filter paper 20 is placed on an adhesive tape 14 with the sample face 20a turned upside. The wrapping film 10 with the face of the scintillator layer 12 set down is coated from above to wrap the smear filter paper 20. Since the scintillator layer 12 tightly adheres to a sample on the smear filter paper 20, a rays from the sample can be efficiently detected and converted to a light. Measuring a rays is thus enabled by detecting the wrapped smear type filter paper 20 by a photomultiplier tube or the like.
