Casing for microcomputer includes peripheral connections on top edge, and pivoting flaps retaining cables

The casing has two flaps which close together to retain the peripheral cables. The computer casing is intended to accommodate a motherboard (2) which stands vertically within the casing. The usual connectors (3) are situated on the upper edge of this board. All connections to peripherals are made to the top of the computer. The connections are provided within a seating which is of sufficient depth to completely receive the connectors themselves. In order to lock the cables in place, two flaps are provided hinged on the side surfaces of the computer casing, the flaps each having perpendicular sections which come together across the top of the computer casing. There is sufficient space between these mating sections to allow the passage of the cables, but not their connectors.
