The present invention provides a process for the esterification of unsaturat ed carboxylic acids with unsaturated alcohols, which is characterised in that esterification is performed in the presence of sterically hindered phenols and partially esterified phosphoric acids. The process according to the invention in particular avoids discolourati on (blackening) of the resultant esterification products.
