<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transport a bend with a large radius of curvature with another connecting pipe without any trouble, and to efficiently join these pipes to an existing underground pipe in works for laying an underground pipe in a tunnel. SOLUTION: A spacer 3 is removably provided in one end part of the small radius of curvature side of the bend 1, and the connecting pipe 2 is inserted to this side of the spacer 3 in the bend 1. The bend 1 is placed with the connecting pipe 2 on a truck 4 and transported to a designated portion in the tunnel 5. In this portion, the spacer 3 is removed, and the connecting pipe 2 is inserted in the bend 1 for the removed spacer to join the connecting piper 2 with the bend 1.</p> |
