<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the durability of various kinds of the parts related to pedal mechanism of an player piano. SOLUTION: An elastic member 16 of the pedal mechanism 10 connects a pedal rod 12a and a plunger 13a by a support shaft part 16a, longitudinally oscillatably supports the pedal rod 12a, connects a pedal rod 12c and a plunger 13c by the support shaft parts 16c and longitudinally oscillatably supports the pedal rod 12c, thereby connecting both the pedal rods 16a and 16c. While this elastic member 16 permits the vertical movement of the respective pedal rods 12a and 12c, the member resets the pedal rods 12a and 12c together with the plungers 13a and 13c to their original states when either of the pedal rods 12a and 12c rotates axially together with the plungers 13a and 13c. Thus, even if the piano is used for many years, the pedal rods 12a and 12c and the plungers 13a and 13c are held at their initial attitudes at all times, and the support shaft parts 16a and 16c which play the role of the conventional spring pins are also held at their initial attitudes at all times.</p> |
