PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric rotating machine wherein cooling performance is improved by increasing width and depth of a ventilating trench formed in a creepage block 11, and fracture of the creepage block 11 composed of resin material containing reinforced fiber in the vicinity of an abutting surface against field winding 4 is prevented. SOLUTION: Reinforced fiber of a creepage block 11 which is composed of resin material containing reinforced fiber is continuously arranged so as to form a line and a smooth curve along the form of the ventilating trench 12. Thereby the area of an interlayer sliding surface 32 which receives sharing stress applied to the creepage block 11 by temperature change of a rotor 1 is increased, so that a sharing force per unit sliding area is reduced. As a result, sharing slide fracture in the vicinity of an abutting surface against the field winding 4 is prevented.
