PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera that can generate display data and recording data and reduce the time required to write each generated YUV data. SOLUTION: A signal processing circuit 24 applies signal processing to camera data read from a camera data area in an SDRAM 50 to generate recording YUV data, and an interleave circuit 26a applies interleave processing to the recording YUV data to generate display YUV data. The generated display YUV data and recording YUV data are written in a display data area and a recording data are of the SDRAM 50 and then receive display processing for a display device 40 and recording in a flash memory 54. The access speed to the SDRAM 50 is 48 MHz and the processing speed of the signal processing circuit 24 and the interleave circuit 26a is 12 MHz. Thus, the reading of the camera data and the write of the display YUV data and recording YUV data are conducted in parallel.
