PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exchange system that enables a user to select whether a call is made by adding desired dialing to an abbreviated dialing or a call only with the abbreviated dialing is made. SOLUTION: The exchange system capable of making a call with abbreviated dialing is provided with a storage device 3n that can store information relating as to whether or not setting of additional dialing is available in addition to the abbreviated dialing and with a control circuit 31 that discriminates whether or not setting of additional dialing is permitted on the basis of the information stored in the storage device 3n in the case of making a call by the abbreviated dialing, makes call processing on the basis of the dialing resulting from adding the additional dialing to the abbreviated dialing after the entry of the additional dialing when the setting of the additional dialing is permitted, and makes dialing processing on the basis of only the abbreviated dialing when the setting of the additional dialing is not permitted.
