PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform combustion by preventing molten slag from entering into a combustion zone even when the quantity of the molten slag increases in a melting zone. SOLUTION: A kiln case structure for rotary melting kiln is constituted in such a way that a waste throwing-in chute 17 is positioned on the inlet side and a cylindrical kiln case 21 which discharges molten slag from the outlet side is rotatably arranged around a rotation axis which is inclined downward toward the outlet side of the case 21. The inlet 21a side of the kiln case 21 is constituted in a combustion zone C and the outlet 21b side is constituted in a melting zone M. In addition, a step h is formed by making the inside diameter of the combustion zone C smaller than that of a slag storing section 24 which stores the molten slag S. The step h prevents the molten slag from entering into the combustion zone C.
