<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a spectral width of topographic echoes from enlarging by controlling the rotation of an antenna of a Doppler radar and improve a detection efficiency of the radar by improving effects of an MTI filter. SOLUTION: In scanning of antenna beams, a period of time is provided in which a rotational angular velocity of antenna beams is decreased, thereby preventing the spectral width from enlarging due to the scanning of antenna beams. Distance information and velocity information are obtained from received echo signals during the period while the angular velocity is decreased. Generation of false velocity information caused by the scanning of antenna beams is reduced, so that the effect of the MTI filter is improved and the detection efficiency of the Doppler radar is improved.</p> |
