The invention concerns a connection assembly (1), and a corresponding method for making same, comprising at least a cylindrical rigid tube end piece (2) to be connected to a piece provided with an orifice adapted to co-operate with the end of said end piece. The assembly comprises a clamping flange (22) perforated right through with at least a bore for passing through the end of said end piece and means (26) for fixing the flange onto the piece. The assembly further comprises at least a bracket (5) abutted on the flange, forming a roller bending the bent end of the tube end piece, with a bending radius R not greater than 1.2 times the external diameter D of said tube, said end piece being bent at its end (3) in situ by bending on the bracket.
